Hello everyone and thank you for taking the time to read this obligatory “About Me” post. To keep this short and sweet, I will mention a few things about me here and have other posts in this blog highlight some other aspects about my experience in the real world on certain topics, as well as some personal milestones I have hit during my studies into the field of cybersecurity.
So let’s get to it.
My name is Kevin Suckiel and I am a career changer / student and I am currently studying for Master’s degree in cybersecurity at Yeshiva University in New York City.
So why cyber?
Well I always had a passion for the way things work. From video games to cell phones, the how, the why, the what always intrigued me and I loved tinkering with these things from a young age. I remember tearing open a cell phone without any knowledge of how things worked and was amazed by all the intricacies that went into building this device that has now become our world. Back then it was merely just a device for beating your high score in Snake.
This how, this why, this what…
These three questions have fueled my passion for all things cyber and I’m constantly sitting at my desk whizzing around the web, trying to learn how everything around me works, why it works and what I can do to make it act the way I want it.
So as I begin to share my cyber journey with all of you there’s a few things to keep in mind. For starters, it doesn’t matter where you start, it only matters where you end up. Keep it ethical. And for the love of everything, ask questions.
I really hate writing these “about me” sections but feel free to connect with me on LinkedIn, Twitter, shoot me an email or if you’re that good at OSINT find a different way to connect with me and let’s talk about cybersecurity, sports, food or whisky? (That should be enough for you OSINT people)
